Technology Stars of the Future are Growing at TunceliFest!

Organized in collaboration between the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and the T.C. Tunceli Provincial Directorate of National Education, TunceliFest was held at the Tunceli Munzur University Congress Center with the goal of spreading technology culture in the region and encouraging young people to become technology producers.
 

In line with the vision of the National Technology Initiative, and with the aim of raising awareness and promoting the culture of TEKNOFEST, the world’s largest aerospace and technology festival, TunceliFest officially began with opening speeches and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The opening program was attended by Governor of Tunceli Şefik Aygöl, Tunceli Provincial Director of National Education Bahameddin Karaköse, Chairwoman of the T3 Foundation Dr. Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, Rector of Munzur University Prof. Dr. Kenan Peker, and many students.
 
Following the opening ceremony, Dr. Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır and accompanying officials toured the exhibition area, examined the student projects, engaged in conversations with young entrepreneurs, and received information about their work prior to jury evaluations.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, Chairwoman of the T3 Foundation, said:“TunceliFest has been more than just a competition. It has been a meaningful journey where our children and young people blended their dreams with technology, growing through the excitement of creation. We launched this festival to unlock the potential within young minds, to give them the courage to transform their ideas into real projects, and to bring them into the heart of technological innovation.Each project presented here reflects their curiosity, dedication to research, and passion for creation. In truth, all participants who pursued their dreams were the true winners of this experience. This festival, which has opened new horizons in science and technology—especially for the youth of Tunceli and the surrounding region—will serve as a strategic step in empowering local talent and strengthening the regional technology ecosystem.”
 
145 Finalist Projects Among Hundreds of Applications
A total of 198 applications were submitted for competitions at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. After preliminary evaluations, 145 projects were selected for exhibition. Over the course of two days, participants presented their innovative projects to a jury in the following categories:
  • Robotics, Smart Systems & IoT
  • Software & Application Development
  • STEAM Projects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics)
  • Technological Solutions to Social Issues
In addition, the festival received strong support from key institutions such as Erzurum Science Center, Elazığ Science Center, Trabzon Science Center, and Roketsan, which provided hands-on educational experiences and learning opportunities for students. The youth had the chance not only to showcase their work but also to meet experts and professionals in the field.
 
After two exciting and innovation-filled days, TunceliFest concluded with a plaque and award ceremony, where the students' hard work, creativity, and determination were celebrated. The event left a lasting impression with unforgettable moments driven by the passion and potential of young minds.
