What is Bilim Türkiye?

Bilim Türkiye, is a comprehensive science centers project launched by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) that aims to bring children and young people together with science and technology. Led by the T3 Foundation and implemented in collaboration with various implementing institutions, primarily municipalities, Bilim Türkiye now reaches a wide audience through its centers operating in 5 countries and 15 cities.

Bilim Türkiye; aims to raise awareness of science and technology among all segments of society, particularly children and young people, by establishing links between science and everyday life and providing learning environments based on discovery and experimentation.

Bilim Türkiye’s Purpose and Approach

Bilim Türkiye, aims to introduce children and young people to the fields of science, technology, and entrepreneurship at an early age with the goal of raising “a generation that is curious, questioning, and productive.”

In line with this approach, it aims to cultivate individuals who are capable of self-directed learning, able to work collaboratively, and equipped with well-developed creative and critical thinking skills. Bilim Türkiye, supports lasting learning by demonstrating how science moves beyond being a theoretical field and finds its place in everyday life.

What Activities and Programs Are Offered?

Bilim Türkiye centers; organize workshops, science and technology events, talks, parent-child workshops and science festivals on seven different themes, based on the active participation of students. These programs, enriched with practical content, aim to make science fun, understandable, and memorable.

In this context, in the Planetarium areas located in the centers; The sun, stars, planets, and other celestial bodies are projected onto the dome-shaped ceiling using special projection systems, presenting abstract concepts related to space and astronomy in a visual and impressive experience. Planetariums provide visitors with an inspiring learning environment as a complementary element to workshop training.

Additionally, interactive exhibition areas offer visitors the opportunity to explore different fields of science and technology. These exhibitions, based on learning by touching and experimenting, aim to increase interest in science among people of all ages by being enriched with traveling exhibitions prepared both domestically and internationally.
