Young Representatives of the National Technology Initiative Design Life in Space

More Than 15,000 Students Showcase Their Projects at the DENEYAP Maker Labs End-of-Term Project Festival

As part of the DENEYAP Makers Labs carried out under the vision of the National Technology Initiative, the End-of-Term Project Festival was successfully held. The festival provided students with an opportunity to present the knowledge and skills they had acquired throughout the academic year. Approximately 15,000 students from across Türkiye participated, showcasing their innovative projects to visitors.

The DENEYAP Makers Labs, conducted through the collaboration of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, TÜBİTAK, and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), aim to enhance young people's competencies in science and technology. Students attending workshops across the country combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, gaining valuable experience on their path to becoming the engineers, scientists, and technology leaders of the future.
 

DENEYAP Students Designed the Future of Life in Space

As part of this year's Aerospace Technologies course, students participating in the End-of-Term Project Festival were challenged to design a "Smart Capsule for Sustainable Living" that would enable human life to continue on a newly discovered planet following a long-duration deep space mission.

Each team first defined two environmental characteristics of their imagined planet under the categories of air, water, and soil. They then developed innovative and sustainable life-support systems to address the challenges created by these environmental conditions. By applying engineering design principles, students produced creative solutions for the future of human life in space.

The festivals, held simultaneously across Türkiye, provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in problem-solving, engineering design, sustainable life-support systems, research, analytical thinking, and teamwork.
 

More Than 2,000 Students Presented Their Projects in Istanbul

Approximately 2,151 students participated in the End-of-Term Project Festival across Istanbul, where a total of 488 teams presented their projects. Among them were 360 middle school teams and 128 high school teams.
 

Nationwide Participation: More Than 15,000 Students and 3,666 Teams

Across Türkiye, approximately 15,003 students participated in the DENEYAP Makers Labs End-of-Term Project Festival, presenting the projects they had developed throughout the year. The event featured 3,666 teams, including 2,633 middle school teams and 1,033 high school teams.

The DENEYAP Makers Labs End-of-Term Project Festival provides students with a platform to share their projects with the public while fostering a culture of innovation in science and technology. The event also aims to contribute to the National Technology Initiative by supporting the development of a highly qualified generation of future innovators and technology professionals.
