Tuva Cihangir was at Bilim Üsküdar for our "Astronomy Day" event!


Tuva Cihangir Atasever was the guest of the "Astronomy Day" event organized in Bilim Üsküdar within the scope of Science and Technology Week.


Among the activities of the Science and Technology Week held in Uskudar, "Astronomy Day" was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The special guest of this event, organized to increase the curiosity of young people about space and science and to emphasize Turkey's potential in space, was Tuva Cihangir Atasever, who is on the path to becoming Türkiye's second astronaut candidate. The event, which brought together astronomy and space enthusiasts, was filled with a quiz, a conversation, and a question-and-answer session.

Then, Tuva Cihangir Atasever explained in detail the process of becoming an astronaut and the training he received. In addition to physical and psychological examinations, he mentioned the training he received for experiments to be conducted in space. He also provided information about nutrition and sleep patterns in space and shared the training he received for possible emergencies on the International Space Station. Additionally, he provided information about the announcements for experiments to be conducted in space and the selection processes, and explained the roadmap for Türkiye's future space programs.

Tuva Cihangir Atasever's conversation and interaction with the participants were one of the most remarkable parts of the event. He ensured the interactive atmosphere of the event by answering the questions asked by the participants. At the end of the event, Tuva Cihangir Atasever was presented with a gift by Muhammet Saymaz, a member of the TurkishTechnology Team Foundation Board of Trustees and the Secretary-General of TEKNOFEST.
