Türkiye’s Technology Leaders Meet at METU; “Milli Teknoloji Zirvesi” Begins in Ankara!

Bringing together the pioneers of the National Technology Initiative with young technology enthusiasts, the “Milli Teknoloji Zirvesi” will be held on May 14 at the Middle East Technical University Culture and Convention Center. Organized under the leadership of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) with BAYKAR as the main sponsor, the summit will bring together Türkiye’s leading figures and industry leaders in defense industry, aviation and space technologies, autonomous systems, engineering, and innovation with university students and young participants. Open not only to METU students but also to technology enthusiasts from all across Türkiye, the summit will be free of charge for all attendees.
 

Career Opportunities and the World of Technology Under One Roof

As part of the summit to be held at the Middle East Technical University Culture and Convention Center, vision sessions focused on the defense industry and high-technology ecosystem, executive speeches, and inspiring panels will take place. At the event, leading companies in their fields will meet with young participants through technical presentations and career sessions where they will introduce their corporate structures and human resources processes.

Throughout the summit, participating companies will have the opportunity to communicate directly with students in the exhibition areas, while networking opportunities and career meetings will allow young talents to engage one-on-one with industry representatives. In addition, informative sessions on engineering disciplines, R&D processes, project management, and technology development will provide participants with comprehensive insights into the competencies required by the industry.
 

Leaders of the Technology World Gather at METU

The “Milli Teknoloji Zirvesi” to be held at METU will bring together leading figures of the technology world with young people under the theme “Independent Future: National Technology Initiative.” Throughout the day, important panels on defense industry, engineering, technology development, and strategic vision will be organized.

The summit will open with speeches by T3 Foundation Board Chairman Dr. Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır and METU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil. Speakers at the summit will include ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol, HAVELSAN CEO Mehmet Akif Nacar, ASFAT CEO Prof. Dr. Mustafa İlbaş, STM CEO Özgür Güleryüz, METU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, National Defense University Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Afyoncu, and Anadolu Agency Academy and Publishing Coordinator Yahya Bostan. Distinguished speakers from their respective fields will share Türkiye’s defense industry vision, the future of the National Technology Initiative, and the transformation within the high-technology ecosystem with young participants.

To attend the free-of-charge “Milli Teknoloji Zirvesi,” visitors are required to complete online registration. Entrance and exit to the event area will be available between 08:30 and 17:00.
