Türkiye's Second Astronaut Tuva Cihangir Atasever Completed His Space Journey!
In our “Our Space Journey Continues” event, we shared the excitement of space travel of our astronaut, the pride of our country.
In the event organized at Bilim Fatih, participants had a pleasant time with fun activities in science workshops.
In the workshops, participants examined the properties of constellations, their reflections in different cultures and their effects on today's world in a scientific framework with the Constellation Cube Workshop. They learned the working principles of rockets with the “I Blow My Rocket” activity. Participants then painted their own rockets and designed a rocket that moves with the power of air. Within the scope of the Paper Circuit Workshop, they learned how to build simple circuits and the participants who built their paper circuits lit their rockets with LEDs. They explored energy transformations and created, recognized and designed their own electronic circuits.
After the fun activities in the Science Workshops were over, participants were offered the opportunity to experience a unique observation experience. Participants gathered around the telescope were informed about the harmful effects of the sun. Sunspots were shown during the observation and their effects were explained.
During the program, participants watched the mission of Türkiye's second astronaut Tuva Cihangir Atasever and improved their knowledge about space through various activities. In the presentation, the experiments of Türkiye's first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı were introduced and their scientific importance was discussed. Tuva Cihangir Atasever's experiments were explained and their possible effects were discussed.
After the presentation, the participants had fun and pushed the limits of their knowledge in a sweetly competitive Quiz Competition. Thanks to their newly acquired knowledge, there were no losers and everyone had the opportunity to improve themselves.
After our award-winning quiz competition, we were proud to witness another mission on the way to the National Technology Move by watching Türkiye's second astronaut Tuva Cihangir Atasever's mission on live broadcast with our participants.
