The excitement of TEKNOFEST held in Southeastern Türkiye was crowned with cross-border international collaborations. Within the scope of the festival, three key cooperation protocols were signed with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and North Macedonia, strengthening ties in science and technology.

Carrying the National Technology Initiative vision to friendly and brotherly regions, the festival laid the groundwork for new centers aimed at bringing science to younger generations. Through the signing ceremonies, strategic steps were taken toward expanding science and technology education across the Balkans.

In accordance with the signed protocols, the establishment and operation of the Bilim Sarajevo center, which will serve youth in Sarajevo, was first finalized through a partnership between the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). Another step expanding the science network in the region took place in Kosovo; following the agreement reached with the Municipality of Podujeva, the official process regarding the establishment and operation of Bilim Podujeva was completed.

Furthermore, as a result of engagements with North Macedonia, it was agreed to develop joint science and technology initiatives for the youth of the region.

Remarks made during the ceremony highlighted the goal of reaching more youth through the unifying power of science, emphasizing that a future focused on science and technology will continue to be built together in regions that share common historical and cultural bonds.
