The New Destination for Science and Technology: Uzbekistan Bilim Tashkent Opens Its Doors
28.10.2026
The T3 Foundation continues to expand its science and technology journey across the international arena. Uzbekistan has now joined the growing network of science centers extending from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Mauritania. Bringing Turkiye's educational expertise in science and technology to children and youth across diverse geographies, the T3 Foundation inaugurated Bilim Tashkent with an official ceremony.
Implemented through the collaboration of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Five Initiatives Project Office under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bilim Tashkent opened its doors in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Held at the Youth Center in Tashkent's Olmazor district, the opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to Tashkent, Ufuk Ulutaş; Director of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sa’dullayev Alisher Zafarovich; Director of the Five Initiatives Project Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nazirov Abdulaziz Abdurasulovich; and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the T3 Foundation, Dr. Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır.
Aiming to make science and technology accessible to all segments of society, nurture scientific thinking skills in children from an early age, and support the technology-developing potential of youth, Bilim Tashkent adds a new dimension in science and technology to the strong bonds of brotherhood between Turkiye and Uzbekistan.
Future scientists to be trained in Tashkent
Operating as one of Bilim Turkiye's international science centers, Bilim Tashkent will provide children and youth with a comprehensive learning environment where they can turn theoretical knowledge into practice, learn through exploration, and develop their own projects. Operating within the Youth Center building belonging to the Tashkent City Department of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the center hosts specialized workshops in Mathematics, Astronomy, Aerospace and Aviation, Natural Sciences, Artificial Intelligence and Smart Systems, and Digital Technologies. In addition, a DENEYAP Classroom/Technology Workshop and a Production Workshop will enable young talents to participate directly in technology development and production processes.
Students will also have the opportunity to transform their ideas into tangible products by developing projects across three specialized focus areas: the Design and Software Workshop, Electronics and Mechanics Workshop, and Assembly and Integration Workshop, covering digital design, software development, electronic circuits, mechanical production, prototyping, assembly, and testing procedures.
Through the hands-on trainings delivered at Bilim Tashkent, the goal is not only to provide scientific knowledge to children and youth, but also to raise individuals who question, research, solve problems, excel in teamwork, and produce innovative solutions. Workshops tailored for high school students aim to help them translate their theoretical knowledge into practice and acquire advanced technical competencies. Through experiment, observation, research, and project-based activities, students' skills in scientific thinking, analytical problem-solving, critical reflection, and innovative ideation are reinforced, encouraging them to bridge diverse disciplines and connect science and technology with everyday life.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır stated:
"As the T3 Foundation, we believe that every child holds immense potential waiting to be unlocked. Today, with Bilim Toshkent, we are delighted to bring this vision to our brotherly nation, Uzbekistan.
Adding a new milestone to the science centers we have launched across Turkiye and in friendly, brotherly nations such as the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mauritania, we are opening the doors of our 33rd science center today in Tashkent.
At Bilim Toshkent, through our workshops spanning from natural sciences to mathematics, design and technology to astronomy, aviation, and space, we aim to nurture children's curiosity and provide them with an environment where they learn by exploring and experiencing firsthand.
In our Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence and Smart Systems workshops, we will deliver training on future technologies including smart factories, autonomous vehicle systems, biomedical technologies, natural language processing, digital twins, simulation, virtual experiments, and blockchain.
Inshallah, the ideas sprouting in these workshops today will turn into achievements on the TEKNOFEST stage tomorrow, and subsequently into technology enterprises that add value to the world. Our dream is for the young minds nurtured in these centers to be individuals who not only use technology, but also develop, produce, and guide the future of it. Because we know that when we provide an opportunity to a child, we touch not only their life, but the very future of a nation."
A journey of science from Baku to Bishkek, Nouakchott to Tashkent
Pursuing its mission under the vision of Turkiye’s National Technology Initiative, the T3 Foundation brings children and youth into direct contact with science and technology across various countries by carrying the Bilim Turkiye educational model into the international arena. The first step of this global journey was taken in 2022 with the launch of Bilim Baku in Azerbaijan. This was followed by Bilim Lefkoşa in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 2023, and Bilim Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan in 2024.
Expanding further in 2025 with the Bilim Quba and Bilim Maarif centers in Azerbaijan, the international science network welcomed its first center on the African continent in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, in 2026. Now, the latest destination of this journey is Uzbekistan. With the inauguration of Bilim Tashkent, the T3 Foundation takes its goal of introducing its science and technology education model to new generations a significant step forward.
