New Science and Technology Hub in the Black Sea: Bilim Sürmene

Sürmene is preparing to host a significant new investment in science and technology.

A protocol signing ceremony has been held for the “Bayraktar Science Center,” which will be established through the collaboration of Sürmene Municipality and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation.

The center aims to increase young people’s interest in science and technology, transform theoretical knowledge into practical experience, and support the development of innovative projects.

The facility will offer comprehensive educational and hands-on environments designed for different age groups. In this context, it will include:
 

• 7 themed science workshops

• A DENEYAP Technology Workshop tailored for middle and high school students

• A TEKNOFEST Workshop for high school and above

Through workshops spanning technology, astronomy, mathematics, natural sciences, design, entrepreneurship, and agricultural technologies, young participants will have the opportunity to turn knowledge into experience and bring their own projects to life.

This new science center in Sürmene will not only contribute to the region’s scientific and technological development but also provide a strong foundation for nurturing the talents who will shape the future of Türkiye.
