We are a group of young entrepreneurs and professionals who believe that it is inevitable for Türkiye to realize the National Technology Initiative in order to raise its voice for a better world and to be one of developed societies in terms of economy and life quality.
Lokman Ökten, who has been working in the entrepreneurship ecosystem for more than 10 years, was born in Karabük on 16.08.1982. He graduated from ITU Management Engineering in 2004 and started ITU Economics postgraduate program in the same year. He is currently continuing his MBA program at Istanbul Commerce University.
Working in the e-commerce sector after 6 years of private sector experience after graduation, Ökten started to work as the manager of Etohum, the founder of Turkey's first incubation center, acceleration and angel investment network, in 2013. Etohum organized events such as Startup Turkey and Startup Istanbul, which are among the biggest startup events in Turkey. In 2015, he served as the Secretary General of MUSIAD. Continuing to work in the Kuveyt Türk group since 2017, Ökten works as a coordinator at the Lonca Entrepreneurship Center, of which he is the founder, and serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at the Lonca Venture Capital Investment Fund. In addition to supporting many startups as a mentor in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, he also has investments as an angel investor. Lokman Ökten, who is married and has 2 children, gives trainings and seminars on topics such as Entrepreneurship, Transformation, Innovation, and Digital Transformation. He also takes an active role in many non-governmental organizations.
